The trick in a nutshell
Using a few dice, a piece of paper and a pen, you’ll show that you can predict the result of an addition problem faster than a calculator!
Preparing the trick
Get a piece of paper, a pen and a mobile phone or calculator ready.
The performance
- Ask a spectator to roll the dice and arrange them in a single row, side by side. Use your magic method and write down a five-digit number on the piece of paper: add the digit 3 to the start of the number in the third row and subtract 3 from the last digit. Fold the paper and set it aside. Note – if the last digit in the third row is 2, subtract 3 from the number formed by the last two dice (in the example 3 682, subtract 3 from 82 = 79).
- Ask the spectator to write down any four-digit number. Then, for each digit of that number, apply a simple rule: subtract each of the spectator’s digits from 9 – separately, one by one. In this way, we obtain a new four-digit number – this is our opponent’s number or the mystery number.
- Example – The spectator’s number: 2 368
- Our number: 7 631
- Note! Do not write the numbers directly below the numbers written by the spectator, to avoid revealing patterns.
- The numbers written down by you and the spectator, plus the four sets of numbers on the dice, make up six sets of numbers. The spectator adds all six numbers together, and the result turns out to be the same as the one written down earlier!
Tips
Remember that the sum is calculated for the four rows of numbers, not the columns. Write the numbers down fairly quickly. Although the calculations aren’t difficult once you understand the mechanism, be careful not to make mistakes. If you don’t have a pen and paper, you can give the result straight away after the spectator has rolled the dice. Then ask the audience member to do the calculations.

Preparing the trick
For this trick, you will need three balls. Hide one in your right hand so that the audience doesn’t notice, and place the other two on the table.
Performance
Ask the spectator to place their open palm in front of you. Take one ball from the table with your right hand. You now hold two balls in your right hand – one hidden, and the other from the table. Place both balls in the spectator’s palm so that they continue to believe they are receiving only one ball. Now take the last ball from the table and perform the ‘Magician’s Ball’ trick. Show the spectator that you have no ball in your left hand. Ask the spectator to open their palm. Wow! There are two balls in the spectator’s hand instead of one! And now for a surprise — show the spectator the conjured fourth ball in your hand.

Preparing the trick
Before starting the performance, remove the four jacks from the deck and arrange them neatly in a pile on the table. Discreetly place one of the jacks on top of the deck — so that the spectator doesn’t notice.
The performance
- Show the spectator the three jacks lying on the table. Then place one of them on top of the deck (where the previously hidden jack is already waiting — there are now two there). Put the second one at the bottom of the deck, and place the third one anywhere in the middle of the deck.
- Place the deck on the table and divide it into two piles. Place the pile with the jack as the bottom card on top of the pile with the two jacks as the top cards.
- Now, with a flourish, fan out the cards and proudly reveal that the three jacks – even though they were separated just a moment ago – have miraculously gathered together.

- Hold the wand in your left hand so that your thumb is on the inside of your palm.
- Then, with your right hand, cup your left wrist and gently press the wand against your palm with your index finger. Say the magic spell and slowly lift your left thumb. From the audience’s perspective, it looks as though the wand is floating freely in the air.

Performance
- Arrange the cards as described in the “Preparing the trick” section. Give the deck to a spectator to shuffle, then take it back.
- Fan out the cards face down, with the artwork facing you. Hold the cards in both hands. Ask the spectator to choose one card and memorise it.
- While the spectator’s attention is focused on the card, with a deft movement, fold the cards in your hands and change their orientation (turn the cards so the artwork faces the spectator). Spread the cards out again, as shown in the video, and ask the spectator to place their card in the middle.
- Now fold the deck and magically pull out the card the spectator placed there (this card will be positioned differently – it will have easily detectable protruding edges).
- Show the spectator the card they chose.

Ask three spectators to each choose a card, memorise it and not show it to the magician. When the spectators’ attention is focused on the cards, with a deft movement, fold the cards in your hand and change their orientation (turn the cards face up towards the spectator). Spread the cards out into a fan again and ask the spectators to place their cards in the middle. For added effect, shuffle the deck. Now, as if by magic, pull out the cards placed by the spectators (these cards are face down, so their edges stick out slightly and are easy to feel). Show the spectators the cards they chose.

- You also choose a card – but first, look at the code on the back of the spectator’s card and pick the one with the same number. Place it on top of the card chosen by the spectator. Repeat this with all the cards.
- Finally, turn over all the pairs of cards and show the spectator that each card has been perfectly matched. The superpower works!

Place both balls on the table. Take one ball in your right hand and perform the trick called “Magic Ball”. While holding the hidden ball in your right hand, gently take the second ball from the table and place both balls in the spectator’s hand. Quickly close the spectator’s hand so that they do not notice they are holding two balls. Make a magical gesture over your hand and the spectator’s hand. Open your hands together. The ball from your hand has appeared in the spectator’s hand!

At this point, there are two face-down cards in the deck — the Jack and the card chosen by the spectator. Shuffle the deck, then tap it lightly on the table and, with a quick movement, remove both protruding cards, placing them on top of the deck. Next, form two piles from the deck and switch them. As you show the spectator the cards one by one, find the Jack and reveal that right next to it is the card the spectator chose earlier!

The trick in a nutshell
Amaze your audience by showing how the number of dots on the dice changes every time you shake the box and open it – as if the dice were living a life of their own!
Before you perform the trick for your audience, be sure to practise the shaking motion described in the following steps. It is this that makes the magic happen!
Performance
- Lay out the six dice on the table and show them to the audience. Then place the dice in the bottom of the box in order from 1 to 6 – the faces should be facing upwards. Show the audience this arrangement.
- Close the box and shake it three times (do not rotate it in your hands!). Then open the lid and show the dice to the audience (the numbers on top will be mixed up, but the numbers facing you should be in order from 1 to 6).
- Say to the audience: And now let’s go back to the previous arrangement! Close the lid of the box and shake it once. Open the box and show it to the audience. The numbers return to their original order – from 1 to 6 – because four shakes cause the dice to complete a full rotation (the original numbers will return to the top).
- Ask the audience to check the order of the numbers on the dice again. Then close the box and shake it twice. Open the lid. This time, the numbers will be in reverse order: 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

The trick in a nutshell
Shake the container and watch as the large cube magically disappears, replaced by eight small cubes – as if conjured out of thin air!
Checking the props
The lid of the container and the side of the cube have built-in magnets. Make sure the large cube sticks firmly to the magnet on the lid, as shown in the video.
Preparing the trick
- The trick is best performed at a table.
- Place the 8 small cubes inside the large cube.
- Tilt the transparent container. Place the large cube into the container with the opening facing downwards – this will keep the small cubes inside.
Performance
- Show the audience the large white cube placed inside the container. Do this in such a way that the audience does not notice the small cubes inside.
- Close the container.
- Shake the container vigorously up and down. At this point, the large cube ‘explodes’, turning into several small cubes.
- Note: Keep the container below the audience’s line of sight so they do not see the large cube attached to the lid.
- Open the lid of the container and take out the eight small cubes, showing them to the audience to capture their attention. Keep the lid below the edge of the table to hide the large cube. If you can, quickly and discreetly remove the large cube from it and hide it.
- While the audience is looking at the small dice on the table, cleverly set the lid aside with your right hand without drawing attention to it. To the audience, it’s pure magic – the large die has turned into eight small dice.

To perform this trick, you must have mastered and be able to perform the previous trick, ‘Balls on the Hand’, to perfection. Before performing the trick, prepare 4 small balls and 3 cups. Place one ball into a cup. Arrange the remaining cups so that the ball is in the bottom cup.
Performance
Arrange the remaining balls in a row. Ask a spectator to hold their hand flat in front of them. Place two balls from the table onto the spectator’s hand. Now cover the balls on the spectator’s hand with the cups, one by one, starting with the bottom cup (which contains the ball). Do this in such a way that the spectator does not realise there is a hidden ball. Place all the cups on the spectator’s hand, as shown in the video. Hide the last ball from the table in your clenched left hand. Make a magical gesture and lift the cups from the spectator’s hand – with your right hand. When the spectator’s attention is focused on the balls in their hand, quickly place 3 cups on the table, hiding the ball from your clenched hand underneath them. Now perform the magic move again and lift the cups, revealing the fourth ball.

- Close the box and hold it in your hand as shown in the video. Tilt the box slightly forwards so that the dice move towards the front wall. Hold the box horizontally.
- Shake the box vigorously up and down without changing the angle of your wrist. The special design of the prop means that this ‘magical’ movement changes the numbers on the faces of the dice inside the closed box.
- When the dice touch the inside of the box, they will turn. Open the lid and show the spectator how, as if by magic, all the 1s have changed to 2s. At this point, the 6s will be facing you.

- At this point, the card chosen by the spectator will be face down relative to the other cards of the same suit. Shuffle the deck and tap it lightly on the table, then remove all the cards with slightly protruding edges. Once you have removed this set, you will notice that you are holding all the cards of one suit in your hand, whilst the other suit remains on the table. The spectator’s card should be in the pile opposite to its suit – which will give the spectator a sense of true magic.

- You will need one ball for this trick.
Performance
Perform the trick called “Magic Ball”. The spectator thinks the ball is in your left hand, but you are actually holding it in your right. Put your clenched left hand into your left pocket and tell the spectator that the ball will pass through the fabric. Start rubbing the outside of your trousers with your right hand. With your left hand (which is in your pocket), catch the ball from your right hand through the fabric of your trousers. For added effect, you can show the spectator that you don’t have the ball in your right hand – it is hidden between the layers of your trousers. Rub once more and catch the ball with your right hand, telling the spectator that the trick has just worked and the ball has passed through the fabric.

Using the magic cups, you’ll make the balls pass through the bottom, which is sure to surprise and delight your audience.
Preparing the trick
Stack the three cups on top of one another. Place one ball in the middle cup and three balls in the top cup. Place the wand on the table.
Performance
- Tilt the cups, tip the three balls onto the table and line them up.
- Remove the bottom cup, turn it upside down and place it behind the right-hand ball. Next, remove the middle cup (with the hidden ball) and place it upside down behind the middle ball. Be careful not to let the hidden ball fall out. Place the last cup upside down behind the ball on the left.
- Place the ball on the right-hand side, on top of the middle cup.
- Cover the middle cup with the two remaining cups – from the left and right.
- Tap the cup with your wand and cast the spell. Then lift all three cups at once, revealing the ball so that the audience can see that it has ‘passed through’ the bottom into the centre. Continue the game.
- Arrange the cups in a row so that the middle cup (with the ball) covers the ‘penetrating’ ball from the previous step.
- Place another ball on top of the middle cup (there are now two balls inside).
- Cover everything with the remaining cups on the left and right.
- Tap the cup with your wand again, casting the spell. Then lift all three cups at once, revealing the two balls on the table so that the audience can see that another ball has ‘passed through’ the bottom into the centre.
- Once again, place the three cups in a row so that the middle cup (which already contains a ball) covers the two ‘penetrating’ balls left over from the previous step.
- Place the last ball on the middle cup, cover it with the remaining cups, tap with your wand and cast the spell. When you lift all the cups at once, the third ball will appear, having magically ‘passed through’ to the centre.

How to perform the trick
Hold the dice between the index finger and thumb of your right hand, positioning your thumb further forward than your index finger. Now, whilst holding the dice, practise rotating it 90 degrees. Practise rotating the dice smoothly by 90 degrees. Combine rotating the dice between your fingers with a dynamic hand movement. The spectator will see that the number on the cube has magically changed.

Reveal the symbols chosen by the spectator by observing the marks hidden on the back of the cards.
How the trick works
- You and the spectator each take five cards with the same symbols. Set aside the card that has a symbol printed on both sides.

How to perform

Handle the chips and rings deftly, and thanks to a clever trick and the right positioning of the elements, you’ll make the chip vanish right before the audience’s eyes!
The routine
- Place both rings on the blue mat. Place the larger blue token, face up, into the ring with the recess. Place the smaller token in the ring without the recess, also face up. Turn the ring with the larger token inserted so that the design faces downwards – this will make it blend perfectly into the background of the cardboard mat and become invisible to the audience! Place a card (from another trick in the set) on top of it.
- Next, place the ring without a recess on top of the card, leaving the small token on the mat.
- Place both rings together with the card on the smaller (red) token. Remember that the ring with the larger token inserted must completely cover the red token. Say the magic spell.
- Gently lift the card together with the ring on top of it. The small red token has vanished!
- In reality, the red token is covered by the ring with the inserted token, to which a larger token of the same colour as the mat is attached. Thanks to the matching colour, everything blends into the background and the spectator doesn’t notice anything suspicious.

With this trick, you’ll show that you can defy the force of gravity! A mysterious power ensures that the bottle and the string are firmly connected – defying all the laws of physics!
The routine
- Before starting the show, place a small rubber ball and a piece of string into the bottle.
- Take the string and put it into the bottle.
- Holding the string, turn the bottle upside down. Thanks to the ball inside, the string will be stuck in the neck of the bottle. Say to the audience: “If I let go of the string now, it should fall – after all, gravity is acting on it.”
- When you let go of the string, it will hang in the air. Say to the audience: Look! It’s amazing! The string is hanging in the air!
- Now grab the string and lift the bottle along with it. Say to the audience: “I control gravity. That’s why neither the string nor the bottle is falling.” Hold the string, and the bottle won’t fall either.
Test by the audience
- Holding the bottle in one hand, grab the string with your other hand and push it down. This will cause the ball inside to fall to the bottom of the bottle.
- Remove the string and hand it to the audience to check. Meanwhile, discreetly turn the bottle in your other hand and let the ball fall into your palm – hide it from the audience. Now you can safely hand the bottle over for them to check as well.

How to perform
- Assemble the prop according to the instructions shown in the video. Then, before performing the trick, hang it on your right hip or clip it to your right back trouser pocket. Make sure the funnel is facing upwards – this is where you’ll later drop the coin.
- Ask a spectator for a coin or use the one from the set. Encourage the spectator to mark it, e.g. by drawing on it with a marker pen (remember to use an erasable marker so as not to damage the coin from the set).
- Take the coin from the spectator with your right hand, holding its edges between the thumb and index finger of your right hand.
- Bring your left thumb close to the space between the thumb and index finger of your right hand. Clench your left hand, pretending to hold the coin in it, whilst simultaneously relaxing your right thumb and allowing the coin to fall onto your right hand.
- Note: Practise this movement so that the spectator does not notice the coin falling onto your right hand.
- Hold your clenched left hand out in front of you, pretending to hold the coin in it.
- While the audience is focusing on your left hand, quickly and discreetly drop the coin into the disc (through the funnel) behind your back using your right hand.
- Note: The entire movement should be decisive. There is no time for hesitation.

Unroll the tape to about 10 cm. With your right hand, grasp the end, fold it over and stick it to the adhesive side. Once the tape is folded, that section loses its stickiness, allowing you to easily slide your thumb through.

- Place the end of the tape against the tip of your left thumb, holding it between your index finger and thumb. Wrap the tape tightly around your thumb and index finger at least twice, using a twisting motion as shown in the illustration. Then tear off the tape.
- Say to the audience: ‘The tape holds my thumb so tightly that it’s impossible to remove,’ and show the audience your thumb wrapped in tape.
- During the demonstration, hold your hand so that the audience cannot see your thumb – only your fingers together, as shown in the illustration.
- With your right hand, grasp the tape, pretending to pull it through your fingers. In reality, discreetly slide your thumb out of the tape. Slide the tape back onto your index finger as if nothing had happened. The tape appears to pass through your fingers.
- Note: When removing your thumb from the ribbon wrapped around it, you must conceal this movement with your other fingers. At the same time, take care not to move the rest of your hand.
- With your left hand, make an OK gesture, and with your right hand, move the tape left and right, showing that it has passed through your tightly wrapped fingers.

To begin with, show the spectator that all the cards are different, then shuffle the deck and divide it into two piles – one for you, the other for the spectator. Ask the spectator to choose any card from their own pile, memorise it, and place it face down next to your pile. At this point, you discreetly memorise the mark in the corner of that card. Then choose one card from your pile and place it in front of the spectator’s pile. Ask them to place your card into their pile (it is important that they do not peek at it). Before you begin the performance, take four cards of each suit (spades, diamonds, clubs, hearts) from the deck — the Jack, Queen, King and Ace. How it works
- Show the audience the box and the lid, allowing them to examine them thoroughly. After taking the props back from the audience, position the box with the opening facing you, and place the lid on one of the sides of the box. Then let the audience inspect the ball.
- Place the box on the table.
- Take the ball from the audience and place it on the table. Then secure the box with two rubber bands crossed over each other so that they intersect on the lid.
- Note: Remember to ensure that the opening is always facing you when securing the rubber bands. The audience should not be able to see it.
- Show the handkerchief from both sides, then cover the box with it.
- Holding the ball in your right hand, slide it under the handkerchief and, at the same time, turn the box so that its opening is at the top, under the handkerchief.
- Place the ball directly over the opening of the box, still keeping it under the handkerchief.
- Remove your right hand from under the handkerchief, then place both hands on either side of it and begin to move it gently from side to side whilst reciting the magic spell. At the right moment, gently push the ball through the opening into the box. You will hear a distinctive sound when it lands inside.
- Slip your hand back under the handkerchief and turn the box so that the opening is facing you and the lid is facing upwards. Lift the handkerchief – the ball has ‘magically’ appeared inside the closed box!
