Preparing the trick
To perform the trick, you will need the deck of cards included in the set. Before starting the performance, it is worth familiarising yourself thoroughly with the mechanism of the card tricks (‘Trapeze’), described in the enclosed printed instructions. Before each trick, make sure that all the cards in the deck are facing the same way. Once you have learnt the “Magical Discovery” trick from the printed instructions, you will certainly have no trouble performing the “Magical Discovery Extra” trick! For this trick, you will need three audience members.
Performance
Give the deck to a spectator to shuffle, then take it back. Fan out the cards face down, with the artwork facing you. Hold the cards in both hands. Ask three spectators to each choose a card, memorise it and not show it to the magician. When the spectators’ attention is focused on the cards, with a deft movement, fold the cards in your hand and change their orientation (turn the cards face up towards the spectator). Spread the cards out into a fan again and ask the spectators to place their cards in the middle. For added effect, shuffle the deck. Now, as if by magic, pull out the cards placed by the spectators (these cards are face down, so their edges stick out slightly and are easy to feel). Show the spectators the cards they chose.
