Before you watch this video, have a look at the instructions or read the description below — they contain the secrets that will help you master the trick. Remember, the real magic lies in the details!

Preparing the trick

To perform the trick, you will need the deck of cards included in the set. Before you begin the performance, it is worth familiarising yourself thoroughly with the mechanism of card tricks (‘Trapeze’), described in the enclosed printed instructions. Before each trick, make sure that all the cards in the deck are facing the same way. Take one Jack from the deck (in the video, it is the Jack of Clubs), turn it 180 degrees and put it back into the deck.

Performance

Tell the spectator that in this trick, your greatest helper is the Jack — it is he who will help you find the card chosen by the spectator. Ask the spectator to choose one card from the deck and memorise it. While their attention is focused on the card, turn the deck over in your hands, then ask them to put it back into the middle.
At this point, there are two face-down cards in the deck — the Jack and the card chosen by the spectator. Shuffle the deck, then tap it lightly on the table and, with a quick movement, remove both protruding cards, placing them on top of the deck. Next, form two piles from the deck and switch them. As you show the spectator the cards one by one, find the Jack and reveal that right next to it is the card the spectator chose earlier!
