Preparing the trick
To perform the trick, you will need the deck of cards included in the set. Before starting the performance, it is worth familiarising yourself thoroughly with the mechanism of the card tricks (‘Trapeze’), described in the enclosed printed instructions. Before each trick, make sure that all the cards in the deck are facing the same way.
Performance
- Start the performance by fanning out the cards into an impressive display and presenting them to the spectator, clearly emphasising that they are all different.
- Ask the spectator to choose one card, look at it carefully and memorise it.
- Once the spectator’s attention is focused on their choice, gently turn the deck in your hands. Ask them to place the card back into the deck. Then take the deck behind your back and, guided solely by your fingertips, locate the chosen card.
- Turn it over, as shown in the video, and put it back into the deck.
- Bring the deck back in front of you and, slowly, one by one, fan out the cards. Eventually, you will come across the only card facing the opposite way to the rest — this is the card chosen by the spectator.
