The trick in a nutshell<\/h2>\n

Thanks to the magical arrangement of the deck, you can show the audience the queens of hearts one moment and the other cards the next. This is one of those tricks that makes a huge impression on the audience.<\/p>\n

Preparing the trick<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. The deck consists of 54 cards: 27 long and 27 short (all the short cards are queens of hearts), with each short card being 1 mm shorter than a long one.<\/li>\n
  2. Arrange the long and short cards alternately: short \u2013 long \u2013 short \u2013 long (i.e. Queen of Hearts, regular card, Queen of Hearts, regular card, etc.).<\/li>\n
  3. Each short card (Queen of Hearts) has an empty star in the top left corner of the back, which helps with identification.<\/li>\n
  4. The surface of the cards has been specially treated so that the increased friction between the front of the short cards and the back of the long cards ensures they lie flat against each other. The entire deck should be arranged in the correct order \u2013 one long card, one short card.<\/li>\n
  5. Before each performance, tap the deck lightly on the table to align the cards and prepare them for use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Arrange the deck as described in the \u2018Preparing the trick\u2019 section and tap it lightly on the table.<\/li>\n
    2. Before showing the trick to the spectator, move the last card (the Queen of Hearts) to the top of the deck.<\/li>\n
    3. Show the front of the deck and use your thumb to slide the cards from front to back (towards you) \u2013 the spectator will see only ordinary cards. Remember to ensure that all the cards are visible to the spectator as you slide them.<\/li>\n
    4. As you utter the magic spell, cast a spell on the cards and show the front of the deck again, sliding the cards with your thumb from back to front (towards the spectator). Do this in such a way that all the cards are visible to the spectator as you slide them. This ensures that only the short cards (queens of hearts) are visible as you move them, and the spectator will see that the deck contains only queens of hearts!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
