Remember, the real magic lies in the details!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>The trick in a nutshell<\/h2>\n<p>Your fingers are tightly wrapped in tape\u2026 yet they slip through it with ease, as if it were made of air!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Preparing the trick<\/h2>\n<p>Unroll the tape to about 10 cm. With your right hand, grasp the end, fold it over and stick it to the adhesive side. Once the tape is folded, that section loses its stickiness, allowing you to easily slide your thumb through.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Performance<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Place the end of the tape against the tip of your left thumb, holding it between your index finger and thumb. Wrap the tape tightly around your thumb and index finger at least twice, using a twisting motion as shown in the illustration. Then tear off the tape.<\/li>\n<li>Say to the audience: \u2018The tape holds my thumb so tightly that it\u2019s impossible to remove,\u2019 and show the audience your thumb wrapped in tape.<\/li>\n<li>During the demonstration, hold your hand so that the audience cannot see your thumb \u2013 only your fingers together, as shown in the illustration.<\/li>\n<li>With your right hand, grasp the tape, pretending to pull it through your fingers. In reality, discreetly slide your thumb out of the tape. Slide the tape back onto your index finger as if nothing had happened. The tape appears to pass through your fingers.<\/li>\n<li>Note: When removing your thumb from the ribbon wrapped around it, you must conceal this movement with your other fingers.
