A mysterious power ensures that the bottle and the string are firmly connected \u2013 defying all the laws of physics!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>The routine<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Before starting the show, place a small rubber ball and a piece of string into the bottle.<\/li>\n<li>Take the string and put it into the bottle.<\/li>\n<li>Holding the string, turn the bottle upside down. Thanks to the ball inside, the string will be stuck in the neck of the bottle. Say to the audience: \u201cIf I let go of the string now, it should fall \u2013 after all, gravity is acting on it.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>When you let go of the string, it will hang in the air. Say to the audience: Look! It\u2019s amazing! The string is hanging in the air!<\/li>\n<li>Now grab the string and lift the bottle along with it. Say to the audience: \u201cI control gravity. That\u2019s why neither the string nor the bottle is falling.\u201d Hold the string, and the bottle won\u2019t fall either.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Test by the audience<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Holding the bottle in one hand, grab the string with your other hand and push it down. This will cause the ball inside to fall to the bottom of the bottle.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the string and hand it to the audience to check. Meanwhile, discreetly turn the bottle in your other hand and let the ball fall into your palm \u2013 hide it from the audience.
